Organizational Links
This section encompasses other organizations that we are
affiliated with or whose services we trust and utilize on a regular basis.
Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians.
In October of 2000, the call went out for technicians who were qualified and
motivated to form a new academy in veterinary dentistry. The first Organizing
Committee meeting was held at the Western Veterinary Conference in February
2001. Dr. Edward Eisner spearheaded this group of technicians as an advisor and
mentor representing the AVDC. Visit the

Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care
Technicians. AVECCT is the first
organization to be recognized by the National Association of Veterinary
Technicians in America as a veterinary technician specialty. Veterinary
Technicians that successfully meet the credential requirements and pass the
AVECCT examination will be known as Veterinary Technician Specialists. Visit

Academy of Veterinary Technician Anesthetists.
The AVTA exists to promote interest in the discipline of veterinary anesthesia.
The Academy will provide a process by which veterinary technicians may become
certified as a Veterinary Technician Specialist-Anesthesia. The (Anesthesia)

The AAHA is an association of over 29,000 members who hold different jobs in a

American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians.
The ASVDT was created in 1994 by a group of veterinary technicians who have
dedicated the major part of their careers to veterinary dentistry. They
realized the need for an organization that would recognize the key role
technicians and other members of the staff play in the dental portion of a

American Veterinary Medical Association.
The AVMA, established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing

Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.
The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association is a non-profit organization providing

Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing
Board. The Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing
Board was established for the purpose of licensing veterinarians and registered
veterinary technicians. The Board is the regulatory agency for the practice of
veterinary medicine in Ohio and is governed by Chapter 4741 of the Ohio Revised

Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians.
The Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians enriches human animal
interactions by promoting scientifically based techniques of training,
management, and behavior modification. SVBT provides a forum for discussion and
continuing education while working with allied professional organizations to

Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, Inc.
The VHMA is a unique association, created in 1981, by and for veterinary
hospital managers. The guiding principles are to pursue excellence in practice
managment, open channels of communication and create the opportunity to develop
